The children learned about fire safety this week. They learned that it is important to have a fire safety plan at home as we do at school. I was so proud to hear the children take the initiative to go home and discuss their fire safety plan with their family at home. The mailbox seems to be a popular meeting spot if there were a fire in our home. We also talked and watched a video of people practicing how to get low near the ground and use the wall as a guide to get to safety. Now is a great time to have a fire drill at home!
